OUR CONCEPT : standard units which can be combined to create your dream house

We realize standard size units. Units can have one or several storeys : we call them model i4 (8x4 m ground surface) and model i5 (8x5 m ground surface). So, model i8 corresponds to a ground surface of 8x4 m with one storey and model i10 gives us a ground area of 10x5 m with one storey. Both models have a balcony on either side of the building. A terrace (from 3 to 4 m) can be laid on the ground floor for all the units. This process enables us to lower the costs, as all the dimensions are standard or modular! Moreover it is very easy to combine modular units in order to create wider buildings and different forms.

Model D8 and D10 are composed of the models i8 and i10 disposed back to back. If you wish to have a central patio, we simply “split” the 2 units and insert a covered patio which comes in a standard 6 m width. The patio can be used as a winter garden, garage, inside swimming pool, playroom or video projection room … You can also choose models that combine together to form a U model, a square or even models with 5, 6 or 7 units if you extend the U sides! Tradesmen would have the possibility to park their vans in the professional area of the patio and they could use the other part of the building as office or workshop space.

Models D8 and D10 could be of interest to investors/landlords, combining units to form groups of studios or apartments and recover their investment over a short period.

Lastly commercial areas could be created using units i4, i5, i8 and i10, forming shopping alleys with large covered and closed spaces. Parents can go shopping while their children play in communal closed spaces with greenery and games.

The company

The wooden House Builders Ltd. was created in Ireland 3 years ago. It now emloys an average of 20 people. It is dedicated to the English speaking and German customers who appreciate the higher quality of our buildings especially as far as phonic and thermal insulation is concerned. We also provide the French market with our homes. The most important demands come from eastern France, Brittany and Belgium. We build 50 houses per year. Most of them are over 200 m². Our processed wood comes from eastern ecomanaged forests.
